The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.
The bid opening has been changed to February 15, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. due to anticipated bad weather.
The outage to replace the tubes and grid will be extended from March 21 at 8 a.m. to March 26 at 11 p.m. A slot large enough to pass grid plates through will be cut into the side of the vessel by others. Amendment 1 contains more detailed information.

The University is requesting bids for labor and materials to install 550 sparger tubes in the Chiyoda Jet Bubbling Reactor located in Abbott Power Plant, Champaign, Illinois. Sparger tubes will be supplied by the University.
The University will hold a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit on February 6, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., prevailing time, in the Scrubber Building at Abbott Power Plant, University of Illinois, Champaign, IL 61820. Representatives of the University will be there to answer any questions regarding the services requested. Prospective contractors must respond to Mike Brewer at 217-333-7067 on or before February 5, 2007 with firm name and number of attendees. During the site visit, each contractor shall fully acquaint and familiarize itself with the conditions as they exist and the character of the operation to be carried out under the resulting contract.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses or parts thereof.
Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid documents.
