The University awarded a contract for an APLU Educational Membership to Association of Public Land-Grant Universities, Washington, DC, for an estimated $63,777.39.
The Office of the Provost is purchasing a Professional educational membership fee for the Association of Public Land-Grant Universities. This membership will cover the entire campus at Urbana-Champaign. In order to remain one of the best land-grant and research universities in the country it is necessary to continually support and grow in our mission academically and economically. One way to achieve this is to align the university with other prominent universities in the country. The Association of Public Land-Grant Universities is a professional non-profit educational association for public research universities, land-grant institutions and state universities which provides a forum for discussion and development of policies and programs in support of the universities mission.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the education, research, public service, or athletic activities are related to participation in mandated organizations of which the University is a member.
