The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois on behalf of the University Office of Facilities and Planning, Utilities Division is seeking information from qualified vendors for a utilities software program to help the University master support business processes across all segments of utilities - including electricity, gas, water, and sanitary. This pre-solicitation request for information (RFI) invites vendors to submit non-price information about the availability and functionality of products and services.
The University of Illinois Utilities Division (UIUD) faces significant challenges in today's environment where rising fuel cost coupled with financial resources have not increased at the same rate required to generate power. The results have made it necessary for UIUD to find ways to increase its productivity while lowering appropriate costs. UIUD must look beyond standard practices for new business strategies that promise results amidst regulatory and public scrutiny.
