The University awarded a contract for video conferencing licensing to Zoom Video Communications, San Jose, CA, for an estimated $32,220.
Videoconferencing is the core of the synchronous learning student experience in the online MBA program (iMBA) and upcoming iMSA program. The program relies on the ability to have two-way video communications between large numbers of students. The target videoconference room size is expected to be 500 in one year?s time. The videoconferencing MUST integrate with the learning management system (LMS) used by our partner Coursera. ZOOM is the ONLY videoconferencing tool currently integrated with Coursera LMS platform. We have been making small purchases of individual licenses. This proposal is for enterprise licensing to meet the needs of the whole college and our increasing online student population in one platform. This platform pricing is only available in the short term.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the compatibility of equipment, accessories, replacement parts, or service is a paramount consideration.
