The University awarded a contract for marketing & delivery of online degree programs.
The University of Illinois is procuring marketing and delivery services for large-scale, low-cost online degree programs. The vendor will host portions of the online educational content of selected degree programs on an electronic learning management system that is capable of serving a hundred thousand or more learners per course, providing marketing services to attract large numbers of highly qualified potential students to apply for the programs, and provide learner support services to ensure that students complete these programs at a very high rate.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for events or activities paid for exclusively by revenues generated by the event or activity, gifts, or donations for the event or activity, private grants, or any combination thereof.
