for providers of federal student loans.
The three campuses of the University of Illinois are seeking information in order to provide federal student loans under the Federal Family Education Loan Program, with the school serving as a lender for graduate and professional students. Undergraduate students are excluded from this initiative. It is desired that the needs of students at all UI campuses be met through a single arrangement between a student loan provider and UI.
There will be an informational meeting on July 27, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. for all interested respondents who wish to ask questions about this document and process. The meeting will be held at the UI-Chicago Student Services Building, Room 1800, 1200 West Harrison Street, Chicago, Illinois.
Recipients of this request are invited to respond to criteria that have been established by the UI as required elements of a FFEL program. All responses are to be submitted as complete student loan solutions, incorporating all required functions, whether delivered by one or multiple agencies. In the case of multiple agency solutions, the primary respondent is expected to underwrite any subcontracts.(Submitted by Kathe Shinham, State Purchasing Officer.)
The State of Illinois has a policy to encourage prospective vendors to hire qualified veterans, minorities, females, persons with disabilities and ex-offenders.
