Comments:
The primary goal of the CITES Network Design Office is to use these network switches for the basis of the in-building data network infrastructure for departments throughout the University. The equipment specified in each of the three manufacturer categories has been proven by CITES over the last several years to meet or exceed minimum UIUCnet data network infrastructure standards. The estimated dollar amount is based on the need for both stand alone and chassis based switches and a significant number of associated media interface modules.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.
