Comments:
The University is awarding annual standing purchase orders for RFP 1WSB707 to 12 contractors who will compete in the University's outside contractor's program for small remodeling projects where the estimated expenditure for the proposed construction craft will be below the sealed bid level as prescribed by the Procurement Rules of the Chief Procurement Officer for Public Institutions of Higher Education. The basis for the award is the contractors' proven ability to offer construction services on a timely basis, at competitive prices, and their proven ability to perform work in accordance with the University's building standards. The projects will be overseen by the University's Facilities and Services Department Director of Construction Management. The contractors will be listed in the Facilities and Services website for selection by campus users with preference shown for minority, female, and disabled firms and contractors offering the lowest hourly rates.

The estimated amounts shown below are based upon the University's estimated maximum expenditure for the fiscal year without guarantee of contracting for the total amount shown. Contractors included annual renewal options with various percentages of changes in hourly rates to be charged for their work. Each option offered will be compared to prevailing wage rate changes for Champaign County, the changes in the Consumer and Producer Price Indexes, the rates currently paid to contractors in this program that offer hourly rates for the same craft, and, if acceptable to the University, the renewals will be advertised on this bulletin.

for contractor remodeling services (Bid # 1WSB707).The University is seeking hourly rates for contractors who are qualified to provide any crafts required to complete small construction or remodeling projects. Contractors must be actively engaged in employing the crafts persons that they propose. The individual projects will be below the University's Sealed Bid level; however, the total amount the University may require during the year (October 1, 2005 - June 30, 2006 with renewal options for subsequent years) will exceed the Sealed Bid level. Therefore, the University is qualifying contractors as many as are needed to perform the work.

Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
