for insurance broker services (Request # G310).

The University of Illinois is seeking the services of a licensed brokerage firm to serve as broker of record for the placement of the various medical/dental professional liability coverages. The selected broker of record will be required to solicit quotes from insurers for the University's medical/dental professional liability coverages. At this time, the University is NOT requesting quotes from any insurance carrier; this RFP is NOT an authorization to approach or contact the medical/dental professional liability insurance marketplace or the University's current insurance carrier. The purpose of this RFP is to select a broker of record, not to obtain a market quote.

The University requires the broker of record to have an outstanding record in evaluating and developing medical/dental professional liability programs for higher education institutions. Respondents will be required to provide information regarding their qualifications and references in providing this type of service. (Submitted by Katharine Kral, State Purchasing Officer.)
