for conversion of brief machine readable bibliographic records to full MARC records (Request # G315).

The University of Illinois Library currently has approximately 1.6 million bibliographic records that are in a brief, non-MARC format. The selected vendor will be expected to convert these records to a full MARC by matching these records against an existing database such as OCLC, RLIN, or a privately held database and then provide the University Library with these full-MARC matches so that we can replace our brief records.

Proposers will be requested to provide information regarding available data bases and previous exprience as well as other information outlined in the RFP. (Submitted by Katharine Kral, State Purchasing Officer.)
