for a web-based file access software solution.

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus requires a proven package web-based file access software solution that will allow any computing platform which supports a web browser to access and store files on a central storage repository. The software must utilize the HTTP protocol as the medium for interacting with the service. It must also support WebDAV as a mechanism for accessing files for those operating systems which support WebDAV: Microsoft Win2K and XP, Goliath under Macintosh, and cadaver for UNIX. The storage system must encrypt traffic so that the user?s credentials and information are kept secure, and it must integrate into an existing University directory service via LDAP to handle authentication and authorization issues.
