Amount of award is estimated. Initial contract is for an assessment study and is in the amount of $9,070. Once the study is completed the University will have a better understanding of the work that needs to be completed and may issue change orders to proceed with design and specification development.

Project Description
The University is seeking design services for the study of current window wall systems on various high rises on the campus of Western Illinois University. The University is also seeking design services for immediate repairs to a window wall system that has been addressed in a previous study. Services could potentially lead to the complete replacement of the curtain wall systems on various high rise structures. These services will include two phases. The first will consist of a review of the finds from the previous study with University staff to define the scope and budget for the project The second will be for design and construction administration services to complete selected repair components outlined in the study.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
  • Submitted 3 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
