Project Description
The University is seeking Architectural and Engineering design services for Electrical Infrastructure Capital Renewal Improvements within Western Illinois University's Macomb campus. These improvements will support current mechanical systems and assist installation of forthcoming equipment.

A/E services shall include the following:
  • Master Planning Study of Macomb campus medium voltage (4160v) distribution system
  • Upgrade electrical loop feeding SW corner of campus to 12.47kV including, but not limited to the following necessary support items: transformer changes/change-out; wire changes; other necessary support system component(s) alterations
  • Replacement of switches/breakers at sub-station/switch yard adjacent to Horrabin Hall
  • Upgrade electrical loop feeding campus' North Quad to allow upcoming installation of electrical chillers within this campus sector
  • Please keep in mind, as this project progresses through design some items could be eliminated as funding or other circumstances warrant.
Submittal of qualifications must include:
  • A copy of CDB prequalification of all team members who are performing architectural, engineering or land surveying professional services.
  • CDB Standard Form 255
  • Examples of projects of a similar nature, including project estimates and actual construction costs. Provide an owner contact person for each example.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
  • Submitted 3 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
