This award is for programming and concept design services. After completion of those phases the University will decide if this will go on to design and construction.

Project Description
Western Illinois University is seeking planning and potentially design and construction administration for a new welcome center on the Macomb, IL campus. The University would like to explore the options to turn an existing building on campus into a campus welcome center. The first phase of the contract will be to complete a programming study of the building to determine potential layouts and budget with a completed executive summary including renderings. Upon receiving construction funding the firm will proceed into design.

It is planned that three firms will be shortlisted from the submittals with the final firm selected from on-campus interviews.
Submittal of qualifications must include:
  • One page summary of why your firm should be considerred for selection on this particular project.
  • CDB Standard Form 255
  • Minimum of three relevant recent references.
  • Examples of projects of a similar nature, including project estimates and actual construction costs. Provide an owner contact person for each example.
  • Additional information you feel may be useful.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
  • Submitted 3 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
