Addendum 1 has been issued and includes vendor questions with WIU responses and the attendance sheets from the pre-submission conference.
First published Monday, April 25, 2022
Project Description
Western Illinois University is seeking the services of an Engineering firm to analyze the current HVAC system in Thompson Hall. Currently Thompson Hall, which is a student residence hall on the WIU Macomb Campus, experiences higher temperatures in the student rooms when the outside temperature is roughly 90 degrees and above. The successful firm must have experience with institutional-grade room induction units, and high-pressure air handling systems.
Letter Submission
Qualifications and supporting materials will be accepted below until 4:00 PM, Tuesday May 24, 2022:
At the following address:
227 Sherman Hall
1 University Circle
Macomb, IL 61455-0000
The intention is that this is a two-part process. Part one will include a study of the existing residence hall, and an understanding of the needs of the University. This information will be used to develop budgetary construction costs. Upon successful completion of part one, and if the University is satisfied with the performance of the design professional, part two will begin. Part two will consist of the design of the HVAC work, including but not limited to upgrades, replacements, refits, etc., of HVAC components throughout the building, and construction administration through final completion.
A voluntary pre-submission conference will be held virtually on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM CST. See the attached document, R024575QBS.pdf, for additional information.
