The University awarded a contract for Auditing Services.
This Professional and Artistic notice is published in accordance with 30 ILCS 500/35-35 and 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.2035(e) which allows professional and artistic contracts under $20,000 to be made in accordance with 30 ILCS 500/35-30(f) and 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.2020 (Small Purchases). This contract was issued for WIUM-FM/WIUW-FM Radio Station. The responsible decision makers are Cheryl Webster, Assistant Comptroller, and Jessica Dunn, Assistant Comptroller. The vendor is Eck Schafer & Punke LLP. The contract amount is $7,150. The contract term is from 12/1/2016 through 1/17/2017. The reference number is R076177. Vendor to provide audit services. It would be disadvantageous to the University to cancel the contract to award to another firm since Eck, Schaffer, & Punke LLP has audited the financial statements for WIUM for many years. The cost is reasonable and Eck, Schaffer, & Punke LLP is very familiar with how WIUM functions and their internal controls. With the recent turnover in the accounting office at the University, it would be beneficial for the new members of the accounting office to work with Eck, Schaffer, & Punke LLP who is already familiar with the audit of WIUM's financial statements.
