The University awarded a contract for Legal Services.
This Professional and Artistic notice is published in accordance with 30 ILCS 500/35-35 and 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.2035(e) which allows professional and artistic contracts under $100,000 to be made in accordance with 30 ILCS 500/35-30(f) and 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.2020 (Small Purchases). This request was not sought for bid for the following reasons: Due to this firm's having a unique knowledge of public higher education and specialization in employment-related issues, this firm is almost entirely dedicated to higher education and it is in the best best interest of the University to select a qualified firm to assist with a time sensitive matter which needs immediate attention. The University felt this was the best firm based on hourly rates and past experience, and was recommended by the Equal Opportunity and Access Director to the Interim President.
Legal Services for employment related issues, investigating employee-related matters, legal guidance for the Board of Trustees and other legal services as needed.
