The University awarded a contract for Auditing Services.
This Professional and Artistic notice is published in accordance with 30 ILCS 500/35-35 and 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.2035(e) which allows professional and artistic contracts under $20,000 to be made in accordance with 30 ILCS 500/35-30(f) and 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.2020 (Small Purchases). This contract was issued for Athletics, for the NCAA report. The responsible decision maker is Cheryl Webster, Assistant Comptroller, and Jessica Dunn, Business Services Accountant. The vendor is Eckn Schafern & Punke LLP. The contract amount is $5,100. The contract term is from 9/15/2016 through 1/31/2017. The reference number is S075063. Vendor to provide audit services. It would be disadvantageous to the University to cancel the contract to award to another firm since Eck, Schafer, & Punke LLP has for many years performed the engagement to assist the University in complying with the NCAA. The cost is reasonable and Eck, Schaffer, & Punke LLP is very familiar with the procedures to be performed in order to comply with the NCAA. With the recent turnover in the accounting office at the University, it would be beneficial for the new members of the accounting office to work with Eck, Schaffer, & Punke LLP who is already familiar with the NCAA engagement.
