Western Illinois University is seeking design services for the implementation of swipe card and proximity card readers for the main entrances, stair towers, student rooms and operation of elevators in the University's residence halls. This implementation will also incorporate minor ADA modifications and some aluminum storefront alterations and replacements. These systems should integrate seamlessly with the CBORD system currently in place on campus.
Qualifications and supporting materials will be accepted at the address below until 4:00 PM, Friday February 22, 2008:

Selection for this project will be based on qualifications and experience as can be determined through each firm's proposal submissions. The proposals will determine the short-list firms to be invited for on-site interviews.
In addition to your proposal, interested firms should submit: 1. A one page summary of why your firm should be considered for selection on this particular project. 2. CDB Standard Form 255. 3. Minimum of three relevant recent reference. 4. Examples of projects of a similar nature, including project estimates and actual construction costs. Provide an owner contact person for each example. 5. Additional information you feel may be useful.
Three copies of submittals should be sent to: Mr. Ted Renner, Q.B.S. Committee, Physical Plant, One University Circle, Macomb, IL 61455. Submittals must be received by 4:00 pm on February 22, 2008.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
- Submitted 3 copies of their qualifications.
- Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
- Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
- Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
