Project Description
Contractor to furnish all labor to install the solar photovoltaic (PV) array, battery storage, microgrid inverter/charger, and associated sundry items as specified in section 26 31 00 and deliver to the campus of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois. The installation shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications entitled "SIUC / IEPA MICROGRID PV PLUS STORAGE PROJECT, Engineering Building D and E" dated September 20, 2019, as well as, in accordance with applicable provisions of the National Electric Code, State of Illinois Plumbing Code and the Illinois Commerce Commission, latest additions.
SIU Carbondale Project Labor Agreement, General Conditions, and current Jackson County, Illinois prevailing wage shall all apply to this project.

Project Completion:
Contractor shall have access to project site after receipt of the Notice to Proceed anticipated in December 2019. Contractor shall coordinate delivery with the supplying vendor to allow sufficient time for installation and operation of equipment. All work associated with this contract must be substantially completed April 15, 2020. Final Acceptance on or before May 15, 2020. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor and equipment necessary to meet this schedule. Schedule identified in Section 01 11 00, 4. A. of the specifications. All billing must be received by May 25, 2019.

In support of the Business Enterprise for Minority, Female and Persons with Disabilities Act (MAFBE; 30 ILCS 575 et seq., As amended) and the economic development of small businesses owned and controlled by qualified veterans and that qualified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB) and veteran-owned small businesses (VOSB) (30 ILCS 500/45-57), the University has established an aspirational goal for this project of 20% of its contracts to be awarded to minority, female, and disabled businesses and additionally 0% to veteran-owned small businesses. The University encourages MAFBE, SDVOSB and VOSB to compete for and participate in University contracts. The goals can be met by means of contracts let directly to CMS certified MAFBE, SDVOSB and VOSB business firms by University or indirectly by Proposer's ordering goods or services from minority, female and disabled firms when suppliers or subcontractors are needed to fulfill the Contract.
