University retains Counsel to represent and to serve as legal counsel for the University in connection with specific legal matters related to anticipated litigation, investigative or enforcement actions in regard to patent and trademark and other intellectual property protection matters.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for anticipated litigation, enforcement actions, or investigations.
