The University awarded a contract for Chromium X reagents.
This purchase is for reagents for the Chromium X single cell analysis equipment.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) Without the reagents, the Chromium X equipment will not be able to operate. These reagents are required to perform research. By purchasing the reagents from 10x Genomics, we are guaranteed quality products which result in quality services for our customers.
