The University awarded a contract for Increasing Awareness and Reach for CDC grant.
Under Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Grant: 1 NU58DP007395-01-00. Latino Policy Forum will assist the School of Public Health and the Office of Technology Management with meeting the aims of the grant through implementation of trainings, community health promotion and community worker professional development.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for events or activities for which the use of specific potential contractors is mandated or identified by the sponsor of the event or activity, provided that the sponsor is providing a majority of the funding for the event or activity. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(3)) The University was awarded this grant and is responsible for performing the goals proposed and approved. This vendor is required in order for us to accomplish the goals of the grant. Each partner has deliverables, that will be included in the contracting process, that are needed to move the grant forward towards successful outcomes.
