The University awarded a contract for surgical support for Medtronic Navigation system.
This purchase is for onsite surgical support for Medtronic Navigation system currently used in Hospital Perioperative Services Neurosurgery procedures.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) The Medtronic Surgical Support Program is needed to provide on-site surgical support for the Medtronic Navigation System by trained Medtronic Navigation technicians. This support ensures the highest quality and safety of Medtronic navigation surgical cases performed in the Operating Room.
