The University awarded a contract for art education workshops for children and youth.
Snow City Arts will provide standard based art education workshops for children and youth in hospitals.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) It provides children and youth in hospitals, standard based arts education workshops. The workshops consists of creative writing, media arts, music, theatre, and visual art. The workshops adhere to state and national learning standards, allowing students to request school credit for time spent with Snow City Arts while hospitalized or recovering at home.
