Specialized physical therapy for pre-transplant, waitlist, and post-transplant patients at UI Health.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This procurement will allow UI Health's Hospital Transplant Department to provide direct patient care with specialized rehabilitation services for pre-transplant, waitlist, and post-transplant patients who are clinically deemed frail and in need of intervention to accomplish successful organ transplantation. The vendor has expertise in the transplant patient population and will provide appropriate training, education and oversight to physical therapy staff.
