Annual subscription service license for the cloud-based Echo360 Learning Capture Solution for up to 20,000 active users. The license includes unlimited ASR hours and up to 800,000 cloud usage hours.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for periodicals, books, subscriptions, database licenses, and other publications procured for use by a university library or academic department, except for expenditures related to procuring textbooks for student use or materials for resale or rental. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(5)) The video recording and streaming system makes it possible for instructors to provide access to course content 24/7 all year. Students benefit from the flexibility allowed by consuming content from any device at any time from anywhere student can review lectures for clarification of concepts while annotating the videos as they are playing back the content, and participate in polling exercises from within the classroom or outside of the classroom. Additionally, Echo360 provides advanced learner analytics for predictive student success automated capture and centralized administration the central control module responsible for scheduling, managing, monitoring and publishing rich media recordings. This system supports the different learning preferences and needs of the diverse UIC student body.
