The University awarded a contract for The AlignRT system.
The AlignRT system is a surface guided radiotherapy (SGRT) system which is intended to provide real-time positioning measurements of patients during radiotherapy planning and/or treatment. Annual Preventative Maintenance is required for Patient Safety
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This Service Agreement serves in the best interest to UI Health to maintain this system up and running to limit any downtime. Any downtime to the machine would limit patient care. All Preventative Maintenance and Services parts will be included in this agreement.
