Prime Big Wheel Stretchers were designed to reduce the physical strain on clinicians, drive efficiency and enhance patient comfort.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) Fully equipped and highly configurable, the Prime Series Stretcher allows you to create the ideal solution to meet your specific needs. Patients can control their own comfort instead of calling for assistance and repositioning. Controls are staggered so the patient can access them in any position, and they include a patient lockout.

Purchasing these stretchers will allow us to accommodate more patients. We will avoid risk of stretchers breaking down and decrease in patient care. If we do not have stretchers, the patients would have to get the service elsewhere. This would result in lost revenue for the Hospital.
