The University awarded a contract for Phone Triaging Services.
Phone triaging services for the University clinics after hours. An OSF On Call Registered Nurse (RN) will be available 365 days a year M-F 5pm-9am, Friday 5pm- Monday 9am, and holidays to answer calls from University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) patients.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) It provides service to our patients that we are unable to do so within the University. This service is crucial to help with patient care and get the patient to the most appropriate level of care if needed. OSF Healthcare is our partner and we share their Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
