The University awarded a contract for an Advanced Practice Nurse.
Provide an experienced Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) (.80 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) is how many hours) to Pediatrics Palliative Care at the Children's Hospital of Illinois.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) The Palliative care clinic is a Hospital outpatient department, and the patients that are cared for are OSF patients. It provides one Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) (.80 FTE is how many hours) to support the Pediatrics Palliative Care team. OSF Healthcare is our partner and provides other staff to our clinics as needed.
