The University awarded a contract for Software Maintenance and Support Services.
Online patient safety event report software maintenance and support services for Patient Safety Organization participates.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software license or maintenance agreement or competitively solicited software purchase, when the software, license, or maintenance agreement is available through only the software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) This product is the best for the quality and safety of the patients and staff. Without this patient safety database, UI Hospital would not meet the requirements of regulatory standards for hospital accreditation, nor will it be able to participate in the Patient Safety Organization.
