The University awarded a contract for an Ultrasound System.
The RS85 Prestige is an Ultra-Premium Ultrasound System designed for General Imaging that provides a variety of diagnostic procedures to evaluate heart performance and function, and to detect any problematic conditions or diseases of the heart.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) After standardizing the UI Health Radiography department to Samsung technology, and Womens Health, we are now expanding Samsung technology in Vascular Diagnostic. This will provide compatibility, workflow, and ease of use for clinicians. The RS85 Prestige is the newest and latest version and will provide the staff with the current technology to provide the safest care to our patients.
