The University awarded a contract for OnCore Subscription IT staff augmentation.
OnCore Subscription Software License Agreement that includes IT staff augmentation for the migration of the data from Open Specimen to Advarra (OnCore). The software is utilized to support sponsored research in OVCR.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) The system is currently utilized across the University Campus in the College of Medicine, Pharmacy and now Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR). This ensures proper tracking of various types of samples and allows for a unified system to be used across campus.
