The University awarded a contract for GASB 87 & GASB 96 Software.
The Southern Illinois University System - Edwardsville, Carbondale & Springfield - uses GASB 87 (Lease Accounting) & GASB 96 (SBITA Module) Software. The software is used to calculate present value of lease liability and SBIT liability. Information generated will be used to prepare the financial statements.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software
license or maintenance agreement or competitively
solicited software purchase, when the software, license,
or maintenance agreement is available through only the
software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) The FinQuery (previously LeaseQuery) software is currently being utilized by the SIU System.
