Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to award PrismRBS LLC for their Point-of-Sale System software for an initial term of 1-year with 4 1-year options.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software
license or maintenance agreement or competitively
solicited software purchase, when the software, license,
or maintenance agreement is available through only the
software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) PrismRBS currently provides various SIUE departments with Point-of-Sale software. This exemption covers the new agreement over the full potential term.
