The University awarded a contract for copyediting and proofreading services for UI Press.

The University of Illinois Press will be working with 32 vendors to meet the varied needs of copyediting and proofreading services during the fiscal year.

This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for events or activities paid for exclusively by revenues generated by the event or activity, gifts, or donations for the event or activity, private grants, or any combination thereof. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(2)) University Press has various items that need copyediting and proofreading. These services are paid for by revenues generated from selling publications that are edited and proofread.
