The University awarded a contract for five (5) Daktronics LED scoring tables.
Purchase and installation of five (5) Daktronics LED scoring tables, including all required accessories, software licensing, operator training, possession arrow indicators, starter package, and complete installation services for use at Credit Union 1 Arena and UIC Flames Athletics events.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for athletic, artistic or musical services, performances, events, or productions by or for a public institution of higher education. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(4)) If this exemption is not approved, the University will experience significant financial and operational impacts. The current scorers table system is outdated, frequently fails during athletic events, and has sustained damage that cannot be repaired.
