The University awarded a contract for Web-based ordering and results interface.
This purchase is for a web-based portal/laboratory ordering and results interface for Reference Laboratory Services. This was originally procured under RFP KDR-103.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This platform allows the Laboratories to continue to service non UI- Health patients throughout the state. Not having this platform would prohibit the laboratories from continuing service required by the Outreach clients and would financially impact the organization.
