The University awarded a contract for EEG equipment upgrades.
This exemption is for replacement EEG computers, amplifiers, upgraded cameras, and software. The equipment will replace our failing and outdated equipment, and bring our EEG systems up to current standards. The software is required to run the EEG systems. This purchase includes installation and on-site training.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This equipment and software are necessary for the effective use of the EEG systems.
