The University awarded a contract for Placement agreement for the EVA Nexus device.
Placement agreement for the EVA Nexus device, including an annual purchase commitment for disposable items.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This procurement is in the best interests of the University as it provides the EVA Nexus device for training in the fellowship program without requiring a significant upfront capital investment. By securing the equipment through a placement agreement, the University minimizes costs associated with acquiring similar equipment from other vendors. Additionally, the low annual purchase commitment ensures that the University can meet volume pricing targets for other vendors without financial strain, optimizing both cost efficiency and educational value.
