The University awarded a contract for AssetWorks license & maintenance agreement.
AssetWorks software license and maintenance agreement for Facilities Management's Work Management Software.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for procurement expenditures for any ongoing software
license or maintenance agreement or competitively
solicited software purchase, when the software, license,
or maintenance agreement is available through only the
software creator or its manufacturer and not a reseller ( 30 ILCS 500/1-13 (b)(10)) This procurement is in the best interests of the University because Trapeze Software Group Inc. (AssetWorks) is essential for managing all facilities management operations, including work orders, time tracking, and billing for Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services-Facilities Management. Without this software, the University's work order management and request system would not function, resulting in operational disruptions and the inability to process billing within Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services.
