The University awarded a contract for HexaVue IP Video Integration System.
The HexaVue IP Video Integration System is a 75" A-Series surgical light for UIC's Cath Lab, providing advanced illumination and video integration to enhance precision and workflow. Part of the approved "Replacement of Cath Lab Equipment in Room 2005" project, this upgrade improves safety, efficiency, and patient care.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This procurement is in the best interests of the University because the Cath Lab renovation will enhance patient and staff safety, improve operational efficiency, and support better clinical outcomes. Upgrading the facility ensures that the latest technology and best practices are in place, reducing risks and optimizing workflows.
