The University awarded a contract for Comprehensive support for ExacTrac Dynamic system.
Comprehensive support for the ExacTrac Dynamic system, an advanced patient positioning and monitoring solution used in high-precision radiotherapy. The full service includes both repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of the system.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical at a university-operated health care center or dispensary that provides care, treatment, and medications for students, faculty and staff (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This procurement aligns with the Universitys goal of advancing clinical care and maintaining leadership in medical technology. After evaluating alternatives, the UIC Radiation Oncology team determined that the ExacTrac Dynamic system best meets current needs while supporting long-term clinical and technological objectives.
