The University awarded a contract for Subscription for OnCore Enterprise Clinical Trial.
This subscription includes the license, maintenance, and support for the licensed modules for use by an unlimited number of authorized users up to the protocol limit.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) Currently the UI Health Biorepository that is a Core within the UIC Research Resources Center operates and house data in a database called Open Specimen that database is not supported and is outdated. To streamline the number of databases that we utilize, this contract will migrate all the data from Open Specimen to OnCore EDC through Advarra. This contract would centralize to one master contract for the institution to be managed by OVCR.
