The University awarded a contract for a Vantage NXT System.
A Vantage NXT System used for laboratory research to acquire, store, display, and analyze ultrasound data.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) The Vantage NXT Systems utilize state-of-the-art hardware and software technologies giving us access to raw ultrasound data from each channel in real time, while preserving the ability to perform high quality real-time imaging at clinically useful frame rates. This system is the only system that can help with a university research project in collecting ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging data using high frequency row column array.
