The University awarded a contract for Expert Consulting Advice.
The vendor will provide expert consulting advice for UICs Medicaid Quality Improvement Intervention Program (MQIIP) for Breast Cancer project, under the direction of Dr. Garth Rauscher, MQIIP Project Expert.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for contracts with a foreign entity for research or educational activities, where the foreign entity does not maintain an office in the United States or the foreign entity is the sole source of the service or product. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(9)) This procurement enables us to execute a $1.5 million-dollar three-year contract with the State of Illinois. The research being conducted is in alignment with the University's goals and mission.
