The University awarded a contract for Mobile Robotics equip for integration.
The University's Chemistry Department at UIUC is needing to Integrate Autonomous Mobile Robotics into the Molecule Maker Lab Automated Research Platform. Bumblebee is uniquely compatible with existing HiRes Synthesizer and other automated instrumentation, enabling seamless integration into the automated workflow. Its self-navigating capabilities, automated transport functionality, and ability to operate within the existing laboratory infrastructure are essential to support uninterrupted, end-to-end automation.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) .
