Eastern Illinois University awarded a contract for two 15-passenger vans in the amount of $39,000 on Monday, August 13, 2001 . This is an emergency purchase of two used 15-passenger vans to replace the two vans that were involved in an accident in Colorado. Vans were purchased from Mooney Motors, Charleston, IL. This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which the need for services to protect or futher University interests was immediate and use of other competitve source selection procedures under the Illinois Procurement Code could not have been accomplished without significant risk of causing disadvantages to the University.
