The University awarded a contract for wireless pnuematic thermostats.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which the need for services to protect or further University interests was immediate and use of other competitive source selection procedures under the Illinois Procurement Code could not have been accomplished without significant risk of causing disadvantages to the University.
On February 27, 2017 GSU received an unexpected Illinois DCEO grant award for the installation of 250 wireless pneumatic thermostats which can be controlled by the university's existing central energy management system.
If work is not completed by the May 8, 2017 grant deadline, the grant funding will be lost.
